McNulty Center for Children & Families - 433-3100 Emergency Services - 434-1766 Emergency Services Staff respond 24 hours a day to mental health and alcohol and drug crises, and facilitate hospital admissions as appropriate. Call 434-1766 any time. Mental Health Services Mental health services strive to improve the psychological and emotional functioning of individuals and families. Evaluations, case management, individual, group and family therapy are offered. Call 434-1941. Medical Services Psychiatric and nursing services are provided as a part of an overall treatment plan for persons experiencing serious problems whose symptoms may be improved or controlled by the use of medications. Children's services (Call 433-3100) -- The McNulty Center for Children and Families provides services to individuals in the Harrisonburg and Rockingham County region. These services, provided by the Community Services Board, include: Children’s Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, Prevention Services, Children’s Case Management, Nursing and Psychiatric Services, the Family Preservation Program, and Parent and Child Education (PACE) program. Substance Abuse Services Clinicians help individuals and families achieve productive lives free from the social, psychological, and economic problems associated with alcohol and drug abuse. The Substance Abuse Intensive Treatment Program has the following components: individual psychotherapy, group therapy, family education and family therapy as needed. Participation in twelve-step recovery programs (A.A./N.A.) is strongly encouraged. Call 434-1941. Community Assistance and Support Team (CAST) A comprehensive array of programs and supports for individuals with mental retardation and their families. Individualized planning offers choices and opportunities for increased participation in the mainstream of life. Call 434-1941. Residential Services Residential services help provide safe, decent, affordable and appropriate places to live. Housing case management, apartments, group homes, rental assistance and individual supports are offered. Call 434-1941. Psychosocial Rehabilitation Summit House is a community based self-help rehabilitation program designed to meet the needs of individuals who have a history of mental illness. The program operates as a club where members are voluntary participants and contributors. They carry out the work of the house, vote on decisions affecting the club and provide mutual support to each other. Call 434-1816. |
