Outpatient Clinician (Position #3005):
Full-time, salaried position providing individual and group counseling, alcohol/drug education, individual evaluation, assessment, and treatment planning for persons with mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders. Requires expertise in the area of substance abuse education and intervention; ability to provide effective group and individual education and therapy for individuals with mental health and co-occurring disorders, ability to write concisely and effectively; ability to work effectively with other service providers within the agency and the community. Prefer knowledge of transtheoretical model and motivational interviewing approach for treating substance abuse. Masters degree in human services or related specialty plus two years experience in a mental health and/or substance abuse setting, basic computer literacy. Professional licensure in Virginia required.
Transitional Outpatient Services Clinician (Position #Position #7040):
Full-time, salaried position providing individual and/or group therapy to address mental health and substance abuse concerns. Primarily serves adults who are under a commitment order to receive Mandatory Outpatient Services and those who are transitioning from incarceration to the community. Services are provided both within the local jail and in the community following release. Requires thorough knowledge of the recovery model for mental health and substance abuse interventions; individual and group therapeutic techniques; crisis intervention/emergency techniques; demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients, co-workers, and service providers from the community. Masters degree in human services and professional license (LPC or LCSW) required.
Family Care Coordinator (Position #3060):
Full-time, salaried position to provide utilization management for Comprehensive Services Act (CSA) funded children with or at risk of serious emotional disturbance and their families. Duties include assessment, treatment planning and direct monitoring of services so that CSA funded children achieve and maintain optimal functioning in the least restrictive and least intensive level of care that meets their identified needs. Requires expertise in mental health treatment, diagnosis, crisis intervention, and assessment with children, adolescents and their families along with the ability to develop creative approaches to service delivery and the ability to work effectively with others both in the CSA system and the community. Requires Masters degree in human services or related specialty with at least two years’ experience in a setting where the primary population served were children, adolescents and families. Professional licensure is desirable but not required. Supervision toward licensure is available.
Children's Case Aide/Mental Health Supports (Position #3031):
Full-time, salaried position to assist children’s therapists and case managers in providing direct support to children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance living in the community. Serves as a part of an integrated team providing field-based mental health support services. Requires a knowledge of serious emotional disturbance and at-risk behaviors, skills in behavior management and teaching basic social skills, and ability to document progress and ongoing need for support. Bachelors degree in human services or related specialty plus two years’ experience working with children/adolescents in a mental health, mental retardation, or substance abuse setting. Must have current valid Virginia driver’s license.
Behavioral Health Insurance Benefits Coordinator (Position #8007):
Full-time, salaried position to oversee efforts to maximize managed care reimbursements for mental health and substance abuse outpatient services. Acts as the central liaison with managed care representatives; obtains and tracks required authorizations from managed care entities; maintains data regarding clinicians credentials and approved status with managed care companies, and maintains current knowledge of payer requirements. Position requires the ability to work collaboratively with both administrative and clinical staff; knowledge of mental illness and substance abuse treatment and clinical practices; ability to collect and relay medical information to third party payers; strong computer and data management skills, and excellent customer service skills. Bachelor’s degree in human services or an equivalent combination of training and experience plus two years experience in behavioral healthcare or managed care.
Residential Relief Staff:
Temporary, hourly, part-time work to provide direct client services to the residents of CSB operated community-based residences. Services are provided 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Relief staff work hours are scheduled as needed in order to ensure staffing coverage to meet the needs of the residents, primarily evenings, nights, and weekends. Duties include direct training and support to residents to improve their community living skills; supportive and/or educational counseling; crisis intervention; providing activities with residents to promote community integration. Position requires working knowledge of mental illness and substance abuse; ability to work effectively with clients and service providers in the community. Valid Virginia driver’s license required.
