Residential Relief Staff – Hourly

Relief staff work hours are primarily evenings and weekends. Duties include direct training and support to residents to improve their community living skills; supportive and/or educational counseling; crisis intervention; providing skill building activities to promote community integration. Position requires working knowledge of mental illness and/or substance use; and the ability to work effectively with clients and service providers in the community. Be part of the leadership team for a community mental health agency who is dedicated to serving the needs of a diverse population. The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Community Services Board is seeking an experienced licensed clinician to serve as the Supervisor of Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) – Arbor House. Arbor House provides around the clock residential crisis programing and serves adults experiencing a mental health crisis. This position provides program leadership and oversight to the daily operations, including but not limited to clinical supervision to program staff, ensuring appropriate staffing for all shifts, overseeing the clinical interventions provided to participants, and assuring the program is meeting all regulatory requirements. The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate both in written and oral format. Qualified applicants must hold a professional license (LPC or LCSW) within the State of Virginia or be Licensed Eligible. Preferred candidates will have a history of supervisory experience and/or program development within behavioral health and/or related field.

Developmental Disabilities Case Manager

Full-time, salaried position, to provide case management and coordination for individuals with developmental disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, many of whom receive Medicaid-funded waiver services. Activities include planning, linking, and service coordination as well as monitoring of service provision. Position requires ability to organize, manage, and document complex services involving consumers, families, and private providers. Candidates need the ability to work effectively with a varied range of ages and disability levels. CSU Specialist Hourly

Be a part of the dynamic, interdisciplinary team teaching and supporting individuals experiencing psychiatric crisis. HRCSB is seeking a qualified mental health professional (QMHP) who is motivated to assist residents in skill development through group and individual activities. Arbor House is a short-term, 7-bed crisis stabilization program working with folks to avoid psychiatric hospitalization, or stepping down from hospital setting before returning home. Duties include assisting in creating a welcoming and safe space for residents to develop and enhance their skills in managing their psychiatric crisis, providing coaching and psychoeducation, assisting with meal preparation and community outings. Candidates must be registered or eligible to be registered with the Virginia Board of Counseling as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).

Overnight Residential Relief Staff

Residential Overnight Hourly Staff provide direct client services to the residents of Community Services Board operated supervised living residential services. Clients are adults with mental illness in recovery. Position requires: working knowledge of psychology, counseling and/or social work; mental illness and substance abuse; ability to work effectively with clients and service providers in the community. Services include on-site support and supervision. Residential Overnight Hourly Staff commit to a regular schedule and also fill in for other regularly scheduled staff in order to ensure staffing coverage to meet the needs of the residents. The typical shifts are overnights 9:45 PM – 7:15 AM at Market Street House. The position is awake.
