Early Intervention Clinician I or II

HRCSB is seeking an innovative and flexible clinician to provide early intervention and crisis services in the local school system. School-based services include providing face-to-face contact with at-risk youth who are identified as needing additional support due to mental health or substance use issues. The Clinician will provide brief supportive counseling, link students to natural and professional supports in the community, and work closely with school staff. Applicants must have a master’s degree in a human services or related field and be clinically licensed or license eligible in Virginia. This position is full-time, salaried for a 10-month period coinciding with the school calendar.

Certified Peer Recovery Specialist for Drug Court

Seeking an individual to be a peer provider who has lived experience with addiction and/or mental illness and is in active recovery. The peer will provide peer support services to individuals with substance use or co-occurring substance use/mental health concerns who are involved in our local Drug Court Treatment Program. Preferred candidate would have personal experience with Drug Court.
Requires Peer Certification or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Will need a valid Virginia driver’s license and acceptable driving record. This is a 12 month, full-time position with benefits.

Speech Therapist—Infant and Toddler Connection

Full-time, salaried opening to work with infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities and their families.

Duties include trans-disciplinary evaluation and treatment in a family-centered environment, primarily within the home. Requires expertise in diagnosis and treatment of very young children and ability to work with families from diverse backgrounds. Professional license in Virginia for therapy required.

CSU Nurse Hourly

Be a part of the dynamic, interdisciplinary team teaching and supporting individuals experiencing psychiatric crisis. HRCSB is seeking nursing staff who are proficient in the field, yet sensitive to the challenges individuals face when dealing with a psychiatric crisis. Arbor House is a short-term, 7-bed crisis stabilization program working with folks to avoid psychiatric hospitalization, or stepping down from hospital setting before returning home. Duties include standard nursing practices, as well as working with team of mental health professionals to ensure high quality care to those experiencing a psychiatric crisis. This position provides opportunities for engaging on an individual level, facilitating teaching moments, and life skill development outside of general nursing duties.
Currently hiring for weekend daytime hours (Fri 2:30-7:30pm, Saturday 7-5 and Sunday 7-5pm).

The Harrisonburg-Rockingham CSB (HRCSB) has teamed up with the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office to provide acute mental health services to persons experiencing a mental health or substance related crisis and possibly involved with the criminal justice system. This position will require a great deal of flexibility with day to day duties. HRCSB is currently recruiting for a hourly clinician to work as part of a Crisis Response Team. This position requires the applicant to meet criteria to be registered as a Qualified Mental Health Professional or licensed (LPC or LCSW) or licensed eligible (LPC-R or LCSW-Supervisee). This position requires the applicant to be able to demonstrate solid evaluative and emergency intervention skills, and the ability to work effectively with service providers from other agencies. Training and supervision towards licensure provided.
